Autumn Leaf Hunt

We went on an Autumn leaf hunt.  The children had fun out on our playing field finding leaves that had fallen from the deciduous trees.  They found lots of different shaped and coloured leaves. We took these back to our class and made some leaf rubbings.  We also used leaves to create some cool pictures using waxed paper, crayons and an iron.  We think they look great on our classroom windows!

The World of Maths

The World of Maths road show came to our school.  There were lots of hands on mathematical activities for the children to problem solve.  The big buddies were there to help the children read the questions and support them in their problem solving.

Ruben the Road Safety Bear

Ruben the Road Safety Bear came to school to teach us about road safety.  We learnt a road safety song.  Some children got to help Ruben demonstrate safe ways to cross the road.

ANZAC Biscuits

As part of our ANZAC celebrations Room’s One and Eight made ANZAC biscuits.  They were YUM!
